Uganda Coffee Shines in Germany!

Uganda’s rich coffee heritage was on full display at the Uganda Coffee Cupping Event in Bamberg, Germany, where international buyers, roasters, and enthusiasts experienced the unique flavours of our Arabica and Robusta coffees.

Organized in partnership with the Uganda Embassy in Berlin and Littlefarms Coffee (Tom Kalyesubula, a Ugandan farmer and exporter based in Nakasongola & Germany), the event highlighted the growing role of the Ugandan diaspora in taking our coffee to global markets.

Jessica Namuddu, representing the Uganda Embassy in Berlin, reaffirmed Uganda’s commitment to positioning coffee not just as a commodity, but as part of our identity, a lifeline for millions of farmers, and a bridge to international partnerships.
With diaspora-led initiatives like this, Ugandan coffee is gaining more recognition, new trade opportunities, and a stronger footprint on shelves across Europe.
We celebrate our diaspora champions who continue to promote Uganda’s products, culture, and heritage around the world.
